When I was contacted by the president of Delta Gracious Givers Organization, I explained to him that I lost a leg over 2 years ago and was unable to work and move around freely as i would like. I also told him that I didn't have a working bathroom in my house. He told me that he would try to assist me with a bathroom with assistance from member on the Delta forum.. He then told an ex-soldier Denton Sterling to get an estimate for the material and labor cost for the bathroom, which he did. The president (Marcello Gooden) and vice- president Alverse Samuels) went on the Delta forum that day and asked for contribution to complete the bathroom. Mr. Sterling who was the project manager worked tirelessly to complete the bathroom. After several months I must say I am pleased and thankful to everyone who made this possible. To the administration team, the executive body and all the members who contribute to make this bathroom, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

During the start of the covid 19 pandemic in Jamaica i lost my job and was unable to find a job for several months. I reached out to one of the executive members of the Delta Gracious Givers Organization telling him that I would want to start a business to support myself and my family. I asked him if he could assisted me in purchasing a freezer to sell frozen product to members in my community. He then relay the information to the President of the organization explaining to the president what I had communicated to him. The president contacted and asked me to get a proforma invoice to him as soon as possible which I did. A couple weeks later my freezer was purchased and I'm so thankful for this organization and their commitment to help us veterans. I will continue to support this organization for the foreseeable future.

My father was diagnose with stage 4 cancer and was going to the hospital on a regular basis. Delta Gracious Givers was there every step of the way, helping to provide transportation, medical bills, food and encouragement. The president of the organization would call every week to check up on him. During the Chemotherapy, my dad got weaker and sometimes he wasn't able to eat solid food, but the organization helped us to purchase various drink for him which extended the time he was with us . Unfortunately, my dad passed away in July 2023. Delta Gracious Givers helped us with funeral the expenses. I want to thanks all members of the association for their support over that trying time .
